Cheness 1045 Dragon Heart Ranko Hand Forged Katana

The "Ranko" katana is a varient of Cheness’s most affordable live blade (Ichi Maru). It is constructed of a through hardened 1045 carbon monosteel with an improved blade geometry as well a cleaner, more attractive fitting and steel tsuba as well as two mekugi. This hand forged, hand sharpened, and hand polished blade is unbeatable in value.

Tsuka (Grip) and nakago (Tang) - Real same skin (Ray Skin) panel wrap over wood then wrapped in black cotton cord. Also note the new double wooden mekugi (Retaining Pin).

The Ranko uses a smooth matt black finish on its tsuba, fuchi, and kashira. The menuki are a matching finish with DRAGON pattern.
