SYSTEM TO IMPROVE / UPGRADE HOME THEATRE ENJOYMENT

Hi Def video, 5.1 Dolby audio, multi-cam satellite receiver

Three, state of the art, studio quality components to seriously upgrade your existing Home Theatre system without spending an excessive amount of money.

Let’s face it, most big screens being sold today offer up to 1080p video quality, but the PayTV providers only supply 576i sub-standard definition video and monaural or, at best, stereo sound. What this means is inferior picture quality to FTA (free to air) broadcast and most people watch PayTV more than FTA. Also, PayTV is corrupted with compression artifacts that degrade the video picture even more.

Here is an economical way to improve your PayTV experience without spending $1,000’s of dollars to do so.

1) VIDIKRON/FAROUDJA VIDEO PROCESSOR will convert from the inferior 575i, (interlace) signal being sent you by your PayTV provider to a much higher PROGRESSIVE (p) resolution depending upon what your display will accept, 720p, 1080i, or even the ultimate, 1080p. Compression artifacts, mosquito noise and other distortion in the video signal can be improved considerably if not entirely.

It will also correct the terrible aspect ratio properties of PayTV by eliminating the black bars that are on the sides and/or top of the picture they send out so you can view a full 16 x 9 display rather than a shrunken image that defeats the purpose of having a big screen in the first place.

2) DOLBY SURROUND FX 1000. This studio quality unit will take stereo input and output 5.1 surround sound (audio) so you can hear/enjoy the full impact of the movie soundtrack and will even produce a simulated 5.1 surround on older movies that only offer monaural or stereo.

3) eMTECH 320 PVR satellite and terrestrial receiver with SCART, RGB and also component video out, Toslink & RCA digital audio out, twin cam for Free To Air (FTA) and Pay TV. 80GB hard drive lets you record programs or time shift them for later viewing. This unit, connected to the Video Processor will allow you to upscale your video picture to the maximum video resolution your display will accept.

With the emTech, you are able to view and record both, FTA and PayTV.

The Faroudja and Dolby FX components are made in the U.S., rack mount width. The eMTech is made in Korea and has since been re-labled and manufacture shifted to China to cheapen its manufacturing cost. The Korean models are no longer available. Originally sold for $995.00.

Over $150 in studio quality connecting cables included.

Total package has a retail value of over $3,000 so asking price is more than reasonable for top quality gear.
